“My work seeks a tension between realistic spaces and fictional spaces that only exist in our imagination. In man made structures, I search for overlooked beauties such as consequential light, reflections or contrasts in shapes and materials. From these existing spaces, combined with spaces from my memories and dreams, I compose new scenes using photography, collage and painting. My work provides recognition points but what’s not clear-cut, has to be explained by the fantasy of the observer.”
